Quality Assurance Directorate
Quality assurance at Bugema University is a systematic and ongoing effort to uphold high standards in teaching, learning, research, and service delivery. As a chartered institution which is committed to “Excellence in Service”, the University has established clear procedures and mechanisms to ensure academic excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across all its programs and operations. These procedures are guided by internal policies and aligned with requirements from national and international regulatory bodies such as the National Council for Higher Education (UNCHE) and the Adventist Accrediting Association (AAA), which both accredit and monitor the quality of higher education institutions in Uganda and beyond. At Bugema University, quality assurance involves regular evaluation of curriculum, instruction, assessment practices, student support services, and administrative processes to ensure that learning outcomes and institutional goals are consistently met and improved over time.
